Why is a 50% increase followed by a 50% decrease not the original number?
The two percentages apply to different bases. A 50% rise followed by a 50% cut lands at 75% of the original.
Can it handle percentages over 100%?
Yes. The calculator accepts any non-negative percent including growth rates over 100%.
